Top Drawer Soccer, www.topdrawersoccer.com, announced their list of the top National 150 Male Players for the Class of 2015. THREE La Roca Players made this prestigious list.

Sebastian Saucedo

Sabastian Saucedo is in the cream of the crop. His Top Drawer Soccer ranking is Number Nine (9) in the United States.

Diego Silva

Diego Silva is in the elite of United States soccer with a Top Drawer Soccer ranking of Fifty. (50)

Fito Ovalle

Fito Ovalle also made the impressive list with a Top Drawer Soccer ranking of One-hundred-thirty-two (132)

La Roca U13 Premier Girls Win 2012 Las Vegas Premier Invitational

U13 Premier Team coached by Felipe Diaz

Felipe Diaz’s U13 Girls won the Las Vegas Premier Invitational Tournament last weekend.

They finished with a perfect record of 4-0, scored 7 goals and gave up 0 while defeating an Arizona State Finalist and the Nevada State Champion in the final.

La Roca U13 Premier Boys win 2012 Las Vegas Premier SC Invitational

T.J. Waters U13 Premiere Boys team won the 2012 L

U13 Boys Premier Team coached by TJ Waters

T.J. Waters U13 Premier Boys team won the 2012 Las Vegas Premier SC Invitational Tournament held Match 30th-April 1st. They won in convincing fashion scoring 15 goals over the tournament and conceding 0. The final was played against FC Man United B98 Red CAS with La Roca winning 1-0. According to T.J. Waters, ” This was a great tournament for us. We beat three Southern California teams and kept a clean sheet.”

La Roca U14 Girls Win Las Vegas Premier SC Invitational

La Roca U15 Premiere Team coached by WIll Rader won the Las Vegas Premier SC Invitational this past weekend. They beat LV Premier, the Nevada State Champions, 5-0 to go on to the final and beat Gilbert Arsenal, Arizona State Cup Finalist, 2-0 in the Championship game.

Will Rader said about the Championship game, “Alyssa “Rootbeer” Walker scored an amazing half volley from about 25 yards out to give us the 1-0 lead and then Paige Stevens scored another volley just inside the box to put us up 2-0.”

The team scored 16 goals in the tournament, while only giving up 3.

Sydnie Stokes to be a Wildcat

Sydnie Stokes has accepted a soccer scholarship to Weber State University. She played for Tim Crompton’s U18 Premiere team. At her press conference on March 20th, she reminisced about playing “Olympic Montreal and being down 4-1. We scored four goals in twenty minutes and went on to win!”

Kellyn Olson accepts scholarship at Weber State University

Kellyn Olson, a member of Tim Crompton’s U18 Premiere team, has accepted a scholarship at Weber State University. During her press conference on March 20th, she noted one of her favorite memories was ”Going to Hawaii with her team.” We wish Kellyn the best in her future endeavors.

Lucas Cawley Profiled by Real Salt Lake

Former La Roca player, Lucas Cawley, has been profiled by Real Salt Lake. Lucas is now in the RSL Residency Program in Casa Grande, Arizona. During his La Roca days, Lucas played for Adolfo Ovalle and Felipe Diaz.

Here is an excerpt from the article in Lucas’ own words:

“Coming down here was where I would begin my journey to making it to the next level. The level down here of soccer is the best in the nation and every play here is aspiring to the same dream or goal as you. We all want to be pros someday, so that makes every training session, every drill, and every soccer tennis match a competition, because everyone wants to win. This type of attitude pushes everyone down here to be a better player. There’s always the competitiveness of making the starting 18 every single weekend for the game so during that weekend if you have a spot locked up you better be prepared to protect it, because there’s always someone right behind you waiting to jump in.”

Being a part of the RSL Academy is an honor afforded to very few young players. It takes hard work and determination to be successful at this level.

Stacy Bair to be a Wildcat

Stacy Bair has committed to play soccer for Weber State University. At the press conference held on March 20th, Stacy said about her upcoming college career,” I’m looking forward to the team being together and playing other teams.” Stacy will be graduating from Skyview High School in June.

London Crown commits to Weber State University

London Crown will be wearing the Wildcat uniform next year. Speaking about her time at La Roca and her team, London said, “It was at our first State Cup that we realized what we could accomplish.” She also gave some advice,” Have confidence and always believe.” London was interviewed during the press conference at the Senior Banquet.

Jaymee Frye commits to Weber State University

Jaymee Frye has accepted a soccer scholarship to Weber Sate University. According to Jaymee, “I am looking forward to playing together with my team and playing other teams.” Jaymee plays for Tim Crompton on the La Roca U18 Girls Premiere Team. Jaymee also gave this advice to younger players, “Set your mind on your goal and never give up.”
